HS2 Greatworth Tunnel: Delivery of Sections

HS2 have announced that in preparation for the main construction of the Greatworth Green Tunnel, they will soon begin receiving deliveries of precast tunnel segments. The deliveries will take place Monday to Friday, with a few deliveries each day, rising to approximately 10 to 15 deliveries each day during the peak construction period. Deliveries are scheduled to come down the B4525 from the A43.
The delivery of the widest segments may require some occasional short periods of traffic management early on Sunday mornings. This is not anticipated to be a regular occurrence.
Construction of the tunnel is expected to be completed in 2025.
